Securing better mental health services and improving the quality of life of people with mental health support needs.
Omega Community Living (OCL) is a registered charity that is committed to the social welfare and integrated services to promote faster recovery from illness, prevent unnecessary acute hospital admissions.
Established in November 2003, OCL provides vocational training and accommodation based support services for people with mental health needs.
OCL's comprehensive and specialist service includes: users and carer support services, specialist support to care homes, day services and support to generic intermediate care services.
1. Accredited Vocational Training
This project uses ICT to facilitate the gaining of computer literacy, basic and English language skills. Lifestyle, Personal Development, Key Skills, Soft Skills, Basic Skills & ESOL, Qualifications, Vocational Certificates, Work Placements, Job search and Employment prospect.

OCR Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care
OCR Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care (Adults)
OCR Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care (Adults)
OCR Level 4 NVQ in Registered Managers
OCR Level 3 Award in Assessing Candidates Using a Range of Methods (A1 Award)
OCR Level 2 NVQ for Teaching Assistants
OCR level 2 in ICT
OCR level 2 in Administration
NCFE Level 2 certificate in community voluntary
NCFE Level 2 certificate in working with people with Mental Health issues

2. Housing & Support
We provide semi independent Units and designed to create sustainable tenancies for clients. Support to enable tenants to maintain their tenancies and to maximise their independent living skills
3. Leisure & Respite Care Holidays
Includes outdoor group activities, to combat isolation.
4. Work Placements & Volunteering Opportunities.
This provides opportunity to further develop skills and confidence through work experience & volunteering
5. Gardening Project
To enable people improves their health and wellbeing, increase their confidence and provide the opportunity to learn new skills.
6. Floating Support Service
The aim of our Outreach Support Service is to help beneficiaries become more independent and to be active members of the communities in which they live.
7. Advocacy and counselling
Individuals receive advocacy and counselling by qualified and experienced counsellors. It is often the case that our service-users just need someone to talk to who is able to listen. The aim of this service is to facilitate service users to have their needs and voice heard when dealing with outside agencies.
